Thank goodness, yesterday's O levels EL Oral was a breeze for me. I pictured that I would get all jittery and start stuttering but no it was the complete opposite!! Even though yes, I confess to feeling really nervous but nevertheless, I managed to conceal it. Haha. I myself was amazed at how I could maintain such composure. Oh, the examiner also commented, 'good'. Well I do hope it's true. X my fingers.

On a random note.. I uh kinda skipped school today!! K fine, no biggie! D:

Went to Central Mall on Thursday. Lunch was Jap-style infused Pasta. :D

Just a random thought: I don't geddit, why is Pasta on the list of healthy foods? Kay nevermind...

The Pizzas there are a MUST-TRY!!!! The crisp-and-thin combination is something completely different, definitely a cut above others. It puts Pizza Hut or other well-known Pizza bistros to shame..

Prawn and Scallop pizza with Mayo and cream sauce as base.

The panoramic view overlooking the Singapore River and Clarke Quay enclave complemented our delectable meal. We should dine there at night, some day!

Went to the Japanese Supermarket. Goodness, it was overflowing with yummy tidbits and whatnots!! All imported from Japan, hence the hefty price tags. Of course, we loaded a couple of the recommended choices into our shopping carts!

Thereafter, went to Provence Bakery to get my fave 'Wassants'!!
My verdict? Nothing beats the branch at Holland V (I still prefer their Milk pan!)

Nope, that's not all! Finally had a taste of the Macarons at Gobi Desserts. Love the layout of the shop! Tres girly-vintage-meet-chic.

Frankly speaking, I've never tried successful Macarons! (Yes there's the failed attempt at baking them) However, Gobi's were really good, even though I don't know how a perfect one would taste like!

Popped 4 at a go. It was that nice!

Hahah and I just realised that "Fruit loops" is actually spelt as Froot Loops!

Friday's
We had a short holiday (Does one night count?) at Riverview Hotel. That reminds me, we dressed down that night. Lol k whatever.

Vegetarian dinner that night to celebrate Grandma's 79th. Wth, they had Mock Frog Legs, Mock Steamed Chicken, mock whatever, you name it! Obviously, I didn't dare to sample them! HAHA we had mock shark's fin too! But overall, the dinner wasn't too bad. You may be surprised, some even tasted better than normal food.

Our chocolate frosted orange butter cupcakes! The instant our teeth sank into the cupcakes we knew we had it at the right consistency. Love the tangy, piquant taste and aroma of the orange! (NO artificial flavourings) Given its petite size, I could gobble up not one but a few at a go!

Ooooh on Sunday after some fabulously good dimsum (More on my food blog), I stepped into a baker's heaven: "Phoon Huat." To say that they have everything is an understatement!! Every aisle has something we need. Iridescent cake decorations, chunky blocks of dark chocolate, mascarpone cheese, nuts, cupcake holders, moulds, basic ingredients and whatsnot -- all at a lower price! And needless to say, we ended up lugging back BAGS of things home. There, we met some inconsiderate malays who took ALL the heart-shaped moulds (there were more than 10 ) just when I was about to reach out for 1 or 2 of them. (No offence/racial discrimination meant)

HAHA look at this! Wanted to get the bags but I figured that I wouldn't have much use for them.

Gigantic strawberry. Sweet and succulent. I love eating my strawberries on its own, perhaps with the occasional dollop of whipped cream. AH, a perfect indulgence.

And we have a whole tray of them!

I'm going to have a new member in the family today.
Her name is Joy.

Today..

-I hoped that I didn't screw up Chem prac too badly
-Had an impromptu lunch @ Ikea just an hour before Focus. Hot dog and soft ice cream!! :)
-Eelin's PSP made me feel like playing o2jam all over again.
-Made plans for Friday's movie and shopping spree!
-Felt the urge to BAKE!! (please don't get the wry idea it's not funny)
-Sarah bought several mouthwatering pastries for me from my favourite bakery in Holland V!! SADLY, the ones I wanted were sold out. Which goes to show how great they really are!!
-Yes and I decided that I wna learn how to make pastries next. :)
-Found out about year-end's holiday plans (country undecided but most likely somewhere in the West) :D

We have to start making plans for Mother's Day!
Even though I think it's highly overrated.
It all boils down to crass commercialism.

Next week's Term3 practical exam. And damn, I dread Chem practical!! Even though I like the yellow glittery ppt produced by the iodine ions. (: At least I've improved, I overcame my fear for bunsen burners. :)

Anyway bottomline is: QA can be (quite)nerve-wrecking!

Almost everyone's having their midyears now except for us. But pretty soon it'll be our turn to have the T3 exams and after that things would whizz by really fast. Prelims and then Oh the horror, O levels. :o

Saturday lessons are no longer 'illegal'. They chucked the 5-day work week rule aside. Went to school for Saturday humanities lesson early in the morning. Good thing is, we're completing our syllabus. :)

And yesterday I had my one-to-one oral conversation practice. Wouldn't say I did my best cus I was feeling rather lackadaisical that afternoon. Y'knw, it's the mood. No school that day and stuff. So I kinda just waited for the questions to come instead of initiating. I couldn't remember much about the convo cus it was all fabricated but I know I did mention that I wanna learn french cuisine cus it had the "Exotic Factor".

I had many things I intended to blog about but I guess they just slipped my mind.

Aha still thinking if we should go for supper again just like the other night.

Revisited Clementi again this week with TWT, Serena and CP. Just traipsing along the pathway leading to MrPrata was a cue for the waves of nostalgia. Oh, the good ol' days. (:

SYF in less than two days' time. GOLD or Gold with Honours and nothing less than that, please! And after that=end of CCA=:D=No life=O levels=:O

Speaking of dance, we tried on faux eyelashes this week. Say hello to my peepers!

Every day I wake up to is a day closer to the O levels. The harrowing thought itself is enough to send frissions scurrying up and down my spine. How funny is it that when you're at A levels, O levels would pale in comparison. Just like how now PSLE seems like a tiny speck out of a huge, unsightly blotch of ink. I guess it's just a phase in Life that we all have to/will go through.

School's been pretty much the same.
Relying on highly refined sugary stuff for fuel, which apparently only gives the immediate sugar rush but makes you feel even lousier after that. But who cares, really? As long as they taste good. Handy sugar-laden granola bars that beat long recess queues. Taking pictures from the back of the classroom. And getting drenched and hailing cabs during the afternoon rains, which is actually becoming quite habitual.

This week whizzed by pretty damned fast.
Right, let's recount, Emath test was the gross-est shit. Uhmm yes that's one of the most prominent things in my memory for now.

And the 'jump' movement that I mentioned in one of the previous posts was SCRAPED!! According to my wishes haha :)

Life's been so regimented. School, O levels, tuition, SYF, eat, sleep. Nothing exciting, really.
Soon SYF would be over (GOLD!!!/ GWH :D) C'mon, we can do it!!

Like seriously, I mean it from the bottom of my heart.

Haha distributed muffins in school yesterday :) and finally got the dumbass Chinese presentation over and done with. Of which 3/4 of the time even I myself couldn't make sense out of the nonsense I was spouting! (The fact that my "speech" was peppered with mispronunciations certainly didn't alleviate the situation.) No wonder my classmates found it barely comprehensible. Hahahaw.

Anwy got my Balenciaga today. I'm a happy girl :D

What a great way to start off the holidays!
I'm running a damned fever. :(
Have been guzzling cups of water and popping Strepsils (some strawberry infused with herb crap flavour EURGH) just to soothe the sore throat. AH the feeling sucks.

Everything I consume is so bland, and mostly liquid, easily digested food. I shall compensate by binging on an entire tub of Ben&Jerry's after my recovery! :D

We had our bio test today on Microorganisms and Biotech. I've decided to attempt to make my own yoghurt someday! HAHA.

Anyway there was an impromptu history lesson after school. Had lunch at Anchorpoint. Ooh, Subway goodness. :D It was so filling and we were marvelling at how some people could actually stomach a whole sandwich (not the 6" ones, but an additional foot)! Actually it isn't that surprising as whilst working during the holidays, I came across this westerner who ordered a large pizza and gobbled it up within minutes!

3/5 lessons were free periods today. School could never be better. :)

HULLO :D

I took longer than usual to log into blogger. Blogger and it's new, daft and hassling version. I'm contemplating about shifting sites. No actually, I've decided to! Just considering if it should be publicized.

Hahaha today was awesome (: The only girls from 6B who went back to Henry Park were Beatrice and I. Haha oohhh the minced pork noodles were still as good. -Makes slurping sound. Visited our classrooms and.. the TOILETS. Took many many spastic shots. Hahaha.

Then we went junkfood shopping at Cold Storage. After all, what's lounging by the pool without some junk? :D The combination of frozen (organic)strawberries with whipped cream is so heavenly divine. :)

Beatrice taught me some synchronized swimming movements, some were as weird as certain Yoga poses. Did splits and handstands hahaha ow I hate leg cramps! AHA and we played 'Tug-of-war' in the waters too! Beatrice says I'm strong okay! :D

Thereafter, we went SCOOTER-ING on the streets!! Uphill and downhill. Hahahaw then it began drizzling and we went home to continue binging on more food. :)

SIGH some people are just so superficial.
Talk is cheap, woman.

Today

New year goodies are lurveee, and so are freshly made waffles.
Shopping had never been this therapeutic.
Plans made only to be thwarted by limited movie time slots.

Last weekend was great, having witnessed the releasing of the results, and feeling happy and proud for everyone who did exceptionally well! And this year our school was on the honours roll! The pressure is on.

ZOMG release of results on 5th Feb! How timely! Haha I'm praying that day remains SWEET. As I'm typing, thoughts in abeyance are beginning to resurface.

Haha I look forward to English lessons!! Mr E.T rewarded us with a bag of Starburst this week. :D

Moo goodness :D Hahahaw.

And now we have 3 times per week of dance practice!! My knee (Unfortunately grazed :() has spared me from some of the hectic routines. Thank god - or not?

Goodness, days have whizzed by in a *snaps fingers* and it's already past mid-Jan! Speaking of days, it's a mere 3 weeks to Sweet 16. Yay? At least there's something to look forward to! A time to celebrate before my chinese results smacks me in the face. Ahmagawddd, I actually dreamt about receiving it last night! I could totally picture the nail-biting scenerio. Psh.

Talk about being fraught with dread and anxiety.

School has been pretty busy lately! Developed a reliance on tidbits (HelloPanda and mentos goodness) to keep ourselves fuelled and awake during certain mundane periods. Man, this is bad. Hawhaw. SIGH how we miss Mr.Prata and the after-school prata sessions! Nostalgia, nostalgia.. There's not a decent place within walking distance for a good meal. (Other than well, Macs) As for the canteen "food"... Kinda self-explanatory huh.

My life is so regimented. School, dance, tuition, and yeah, you name it. My social life is this freaking close to being reduced to an insignificant Zilch. (Lol kay some exaggeration here) Takes some getting-used-to, but I'll give whatever it takes!

Seeking comfort in a mug of hot chocolate. (:

Happy birthday Mummy dearest!! :)

My sister and I baked a cake for her and hopefully, it'll taste as good as it looks!

Okaay anyway we just had our (day)camp. SIGH no more camps at the most revolting of places, team-bonding and whatsnot, but instead we were glued to our seats for interminable hours in a freezing room, listening to the incessant litany of talks given. Motivational, Social&Etiquette, Study skills, you name it. And the fact that we were given such lousy food unfit for human consumption only made it worse.

But why don't we get outdoor camps, you may wonder. Simply because we're Secondary 4 students, and being so translates to having to sit for the big 'O' at the end of the year. Ah well. The cold, stark and harsh reality seeps in...

Hawhaw I like my new phone! Ahahah the face warp program can be SOO entertaining! :D

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

May the year 2007 be an amazing year for all of us!

Haha so sorry for the drought of updates! My sister and I got hooked on Princess Hours. (To say that my sister was hooked is an understatement, she practically went ga-ga over it!) Never have I dreamt that I would actually watch that show but I guess the unexpected happens.. Haha we marathoned it and completed the DVD within a span of just 4 days!

Christmas -This post is just gonna be a mishmash of everything that had happened 'cus my laziness got the better of me so I'm not going to update in a chronological order. (And in any event I may miss some details out!)

Presents under the tree! Haha my family's present exchange. :)

Celebrated little cousin Isabelle's birthday with Michelle and Elena! Lol did everything we could to appease a child's whims and fancies. Including wrapping a seemingly gigantic present in a shiny, glittery, attention-grabbing, Paris Hilton-esque hot pink wrapper that screams "LOOK AT ME".

Had dinner at Sakae Sushi aha yum I lurvve cold soba noodles!

Went citylightseeing at night and had some kodak moments, only to get blocked by some b*n*a*a's HUGE head, get pushed and shoved around and met by disapproving glares from the passersby for apparently holding up the line. ?!?!

Haha this dimsum restaurant makes use of the conveyor belt concept! (Like those quintessential Japanese restaurants) The servings were very little, even the xiaolongbaos were miniature in size! Aha they were so cute! But of course you should always place your order if you want your dishes to be served piping hot!

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ONE AND ALL!!!

I totally enjoyed myself on Christmas Eve! We baked Christmas cookies for everybody. HAHA. :D G'byeee to conventional gingerbread man cookie cutters and hello to freestyle baking!! Haha innovative in a way. :) They turned out to be really delicious so all the messiness, greasy fingers and whatsnot as the aftermath of zee baking was worth it after all! Yup, no qualms about it! Oh and including having to exert all the strength we had to squeeze the very-stiff-and-obstinate-but-yum icing from the canister/tubes onto the cookies. What an annoying, vexacious feat! (Applies to the impatient trait in us.)

All right, I'm out for now, shall update again later! (Figured that this post was too brief.)

So the few of us, Gopal, Wan Ting and Joel decided to give the birthday girl a pleasant surprise!

YES It was a bad hair day so I had my fringe clipped up!! :( However, no more bad hair days for I've had my haircut! -beams- May post some pics up laterr. :)

It wasn't easy to keep all 100 candles lighted up throughout! Blame it on the wind.. Bahh it was so frustrating because whenever we had 2/3 of the candles lighted up, the wind had to come and blow them ALL out! Sigh, seems like Heaven does make fun of man..

The joy of baking

TWT's coming over in an hours' time and we're going to BAKE! Hahaha. Shizzz this is so eggciting I could hardly wait! Before that, I'm going to have lunch prepared for her! Mmhm pasta in carbonara sauce coupled with a chocolate milkshake? AHA I almost forgot to add that she said my cooking was edible and in fact, yummy, alright!!

This morning whilst I was basking under the Sun in hopes of getting the coveted, perfect tan, well, basically just suntanning, I had my first encounter with a combination of dehydration and heatstroke!! I know I should have left when the heat was starting to get oppressive, and maliciously stinging!! My experience: I started feeling all jelly-like and my vision was a blur and then there was this total, murky darkness which literally engulfed me, and my feet could no longer support my weight so I just sat on the kitchen tiles omg it was soo bad I swear I wouldn't go suntanning for the next couple of months!

Lol kay, maybe not.

Then my annoying, pesky and SADISTIC sister sneered with a look of contempt and purposefully remarked that I should have fainted so she could skip band practice with a valid reason stating: Family affairs. HAH.

Anddd I'm going to get my hair done with Beatrice first thing in the morning! Shooo, bad hair days! Thank god for hairbands. ;)

I know I know, there's a lack of updates! Well, you could say, an update-drought/famine?

I have many things to blog about! Hahah but this is just gonna be a quickie. Anyhow, Miss TAN WAN TING is coming over to my place tomorrow and we're going to complete the damned Chinese (!!@!#*@) project. Yes, by hook or by crook, we're going to get it over and done with. (That is, if we got the topic right. :S) Hopefully time allows us to go for a swim and drench ourselves in the glorious rays of the Sun! What ethereal bliss!

Sigh, I'd just have to pray that it wouldn't rain! Blah, this holiday would've been closer to perfection sans the rainy season.

Oh yah, I'd be whipping a dish up for her as well! And a-and, she's gonna be the first friend to get a taste of my culinary skills. What an honour! (Inserts tongue-in-cheek smiley)

Hullo there!

Haha, yesterday was by far the most enjoyable working day!! My family came down for dinner and Beatrice, Jianrong and Siravut popped by for a little surprise visit. :)

Then we went to the playground for a chatting session. Zomg, that was when the realisation dawned upon that I haven't stepped into Henry Park for a good year!! :/ Sigh. And we were reminiscing about how savoury the curry chicken noodles, minced-meat noodles, and almost about every other food tasted! AHH I'm going to have lunch there some day, no matter how out of place I'd look there, what with the candy-coloured Mac tables and the young ones half my height frolicking, jumping around and erupting into endless squeals of delight. Hahah.

Leaving the house for a dim-sum breakfast soon-ish. Dimsum goodness!! :D

Thank you, my family (esp mum and sarah) and friends! Give me a month and I'll be back, I promise! Don't worry, I know what I'm doing.

Whisky blowing out the candles on the banana cupcake which I specially baked! And needless to say, he gobbled the entire thing up in no time!

So yesterday, my sister, Sarah and I baked.. EGG TARTS!!! Yumyum. It was such a success! We had 2 rounds of baking. The first round was a blessing in disguise as we thought it would fail! We learn from mistakes, so the 2nd round was even better! Everybody loved it, however they felt that it was a tad too sweet. Shall reduce the quantity of sugar the next time. Hey, to have an occasional indulgence is perfectly all right! :D

The familiar whiff that exuded from the egg custard travelled so many units away, encouraging the passing neighbours -a.k.a busybodies to peer in through the windows. Right, I'm so not bragging. :D

Hullo everybody!! :)

I have so many things to blog about! One at a time, ya?

The chalet was a success even though it got kinda boring at some parts and we ended up bumming around in the room, pigging out and all that jazz. That's normal for we're no superman and can't last 3 entire days. Or was it 2?

Things didn't exactly go according to our plans, eg. Canoeing. So that reflects the disorganized characteristic that we have in us. (;

Have been barbecueing for 2 consecutive nights. It sure wasn't a simple feat! For 3h+ the few of us stood by the pit, fanning, dipping, roasting, cooking and wiping beads of sweat trickling down occasionally. And duhh, eating :D I ate most of the stingray as that was the only bbqed food I preferred out of the lot. It tasted rather bland as it lacked Sambal chilli sauce!

So throughout the 3 days it was just late morning breakfasts, half-boiled eggs & hot milo, 1h cycling, long walks to-and-fro, getting lost in confusing mazes at unearthly hours, binging on snacks at convenience store 'Cheers', (Mike&Ike!!), Bacardi, 567-ing (inserts cheeky grin), late night suppers, photo whoring, pillow fights, instant cup noodles, blueberry muffins, unhealthy BBQed food, pigging out, staying up, Heartattack, Handiplast, WhoWhatHuh (All the childish games), eating, resting, sleeping and more sleeping..

Today, we took Sean (Our little neighbour) out for a movie outing! To bring a child out can be such a hassle!

Real life example 1: Whenever my sister and I steps into boutiques, he insists on following. 2: He steals our popcorn almost every 10 seconds and by stopping him means noise contribution. 3: He gets up on his feet and annoys the person seated infront. *bittersweet sigh*

Anyhow, that movie was so all that cutesy shizz. :) It's one of those movies that will cheer you up on a gloomy, rainy day!

We needn't spend a single cent for his ticket as his height was 'just-nice'! :D Sorry for the poor picture quality.

However, we were glad that he was really elated! After all, it's still happiness to bring somebody happiness. :) We heard that he started dancing in front of his mom, imitating the penguins in the movie. Hahahah.

We went food shopping at the HYPERMART this afternoon. Bought 2 trolleys full of food!! I doubt we'd be able to finish them all.. Kay maybe not, with all the great eaters around! :D

A few days back I caught The Covenant. Haha an unrealistic show with hot stars. Only a DVD worthy flick. Then we went all the way to Marina for steamboat!! And all of us ate a lot! :D Then we had a long night walk.

So today, Serena and I were 40 bucks richer! Worked at LivaLife for a couple of hours, (An ice cream shop) We were supposed to help out with their ice cream making workshop. Okay anyhow, we handled a bunch of kids -- pesky, annoying and greedy little brats. OOPS!

Haha I must say that was in fact easy and fast money. Sadly, it was just a one-day job. All I did was to rearrange some props, pack, FRY FRIES!! (The oil was scary!), seperate stuff and some drying. :D

Messy hair! Haha I clipped it up as it was such a bother!

After that was dance at Meixuan's. Finally all of us managed to get every single step! Quite an accomplishment, huh? Hopefully no jitters while showcasing our performance tomorrow! :/ And then it POURED!! Blimey, I totally detest/abhor/hate being caught in the rain. Talk about rain.Which brings me to the INVERTED umbrella incident! HAHAHA.That was downright embarrassing!! Yes, Natasha? :D

Oh, I wouldn't mind the rain if I had a cup of hot chocolate (topped with marshmallows!) coupled with a warm blanket to snooze in though. :)

On wednesday Serena, Natasha, Brenda went job-hunting! (It's certainly not as easy as it seems) And our energy was sapped just after 4h+. Well, we did a lot of walking and travelling haha and visited more than 10 stores to fill in the lengthy application forms.

Look at what Serena and I purchased! Haha have been eyeing it for ages. :D

Then we started acting really spaz while having our late lunch/tea break. Especially Nat and Serena. -rolls eyes-

Hello there apple strudels!! :D

ZOMGG the Chinese O levels are approaching in like what, 4 days' time? I'm starting to feel irrepressibly afraid and all jittery. (And it doesn't help with the fact that I think I've screwed up oral. I THINK.) The immense pressure to score no less than an A1 is too overwhelming. Gazillions of What-ifs are bombarding me but managed to be stashed away and deep into the recesses of my mind. Stress is good, I tell myself. (Self-assurance) I can't afford to make careless mistakes which at the end, would only be deemed as a total waste and of great pity. Negative thoughts, PERISH, DIE, whatever.

As for now, I can only pray for the best. C'est la vie.

Haha my friends came up with this incredible idea to go to the ZOO tomorrow. OF ALL PLACES. Ohh anyhow I can't wait for Halloween!! I hope all works out mwahaha. And if it does, we get to go shopping for our Halloween outfits tomorrow!! Gate crashing sounds like fun, don't you reckon?

Fancy night parties on green, manicured lawns, great food and quirky beverage concoctions, candy corns, trick-or-treating, dappled shadows of cob webs and streamers and not to forget the cute, orange PUMPKINS!! :D

SCHOOL WAS SO BORING TODAY!! Spent the entire morning in the air-conditioned room, carrying out the 'HEYday' shite. It was freezing! Cold-induced vasoconstriction LOL. Hello sashimis!

Haha, today was 'tha bomb!

So yeah the 8 of us (CP, TWT, Serena, JR, Siravut, Singgih, Benedict) went for the international buffet at Sakura!

There was a great variety of palatable food. (incl SALMON!!) And we ate like soo assing much! The guys and CP were literally gorging themselves with food, racing against the closing time and satisfying their insatiable ravenous hunger. The rest of us were full beyond words that the very thought of food made us queasy and noushus. So we just sat there, appalled at the scene which laid before us. Ahaha yeah it was that bad. But we managed to finish up every single morsel of food. (Okay I'm lying. We HID a little portion) Anyhoo, that meal lasted me for an entire day!

Then we strolled all the way to Wheelock place. Bummed around and WT and I played hide&seek with Siravut, that stalker. D:

Planned on walking all the way to the Esplanade but nah went to Safra for pool! Haha. It was my very first time trying my hands on Pool (other than Yahoo pool online!). Okay it was downright embarrassing but yeah at least I didn't cause the ball to fly, unlike what I had envisioned. Hahahah so overall I enjoyed pool!

And then we played Photohunt! It's so addictive!! So time and again, we succumbed to the temptation and kept slotting coins in. :D Finally after rounds of playing we ranked 2nd in the Hall of Fame (Or wdv you call it.) SADLY THE SWINGS WERE OCCUPIED!! :(

Headed to Island Creamery for some ice cream and left for home.

Went to town with sissy. Nothing much happened.

Went to Vivocity. Spent an entire afternoon in that massive, ginormous building. Well, to me it was a tad too huge. Positive thing is, we wouldn't have to feel claustrophobic even when there's a crowd. Lol. Most of the shops weren't opened yet but it's like an entire Orchard Road in an entire package!

This guy here is the shop-traffic police of VivoCity! Hahaha. He was using signs and directing shoppers to Zara and Bebe. So cute!

This was a random scenic shot and as you can see, the haze was pretty bad, and had shrouded the magnificient cruise in the backdrop.

After much walking, we proceeded to the state-of-the-art cineplex to catch 'World Trade Center' and of course, accompanied by a bag of caramel glazed, golden popcorn! It was an awesome, moving tribute for the 911 incident.

Haha I like the whole concept!

AT LAST, LIBERATION!!

Hot chocolate drink + Marshmallows! My companion through the late nights.

One of the many cups I've downed whilst studying.

Last paper was bio, which was pretty alright I guess. Only studied the last few chapters in detail and thankfully it carried a heavier weightage. :D

Anyhow, the four of us (TWT, Serena and CP) went to town after that for lunch. Dined at Sakae Sushi. And of course I had the usuals! Heh. Salmon and Chawanmushi. Zomg damned good.

Headed to Safra thereafter. They wanted to watch me play pool (and embarrass myself in the process) but too bad there were no tables available mwahaha. D: Went bowling instead and I was in good form, kinda. Haha! Pfft. To think JR thought I couldn't even lift the ball?!!? Hey that's an understatement, Mr. :D

I'm back from the short hiatus!

!@!!(@asdadsfds the bloody memory card reader just wouldn't work!! So that means, no pictures to update for now. Anyhow, I have so many that I have no idea where to begin with!

I love marking days!!

Haha today's suntanning session with CP was crazily fun! Baking as well! (I just kept snapping away, a baking paparazzi, as quoted by my sissy.) Yes you heard it right!! Lol I never knew it'd require so much patience and effort to bake a successful cake. The exact amount of ingredients, no more no less, keeping air molecules in egg white, oh my, it's just so tedious! Well at least you get to enjoy the fruit of your labour at the end of the day! (Though I've yet to taste it.)

Oh, Prison Break just ended! Watched it at my neighbour's house today as well. He has the entire season's! Bah. Shall snag some. :D

Buffet in town tomorrow! Ah tomorrow's gonna be one hell of a busy day.

Had dance prac in the morning and goodness I was an hour late!! Got the wrong timing. Ah welll. Hahaha.

Thereafter I went to have a haircut! -beams-

Evening-night was well spent! Haha, yes with dearest Michelle Ong Hui. :D (That reminds me. ELENA!! Why couldn't you make it?!)

Terribly sorry for turning up late, that you had to put up with ______s and _____s alone!! Hahaha anyhoo, most of my friends are probably used to this uh, not-so-rare occurence. After much walking we settled down in..

@ Pacific plaza.

I had SALMON hot plate!! It was worth my every cent! Then we realised the food they had were not only distinctively divine but were really healthy as well! Miso soup, equal portions of vegetables, carbs, protein, all in one.

Then we came across this lady advertising a particular brand of perfume by dancing, behind a shop's window. Certainly one of a kind.

Haha and our mini feat was met with success! AHA. Managed to sneak in to catch 'Little Man'. :D Hawhaw. And our decision go to the movies was so impromptu, watched the 930 time slot.

Michelle: "even if you had to get scared/threatened by india/malay aunties and the likes just go catch it!"

Anyhow, if you want to have a good laugh, this is the movie for you! Lol unless you're vehemently against racist jokes!

FINALLYY the neverending stream of tests had stopped.. Temporarily!
Wtf math test was so screwed up. All the silly calculation errors, and because of that I unfortunately missed an A by a few, meager marks. >:(

I'm constantly losing my marks due to carelessness! AHHH I've attempted to change but to no avail. What is wrong with me?! Ah well, it's never too late. (:

Lunched at Mr.Prata after school with the girls. Haha and dance practice after that! Zomg like finally I managed to get that portion of the dance steps right. :D Today we were just being plain mean during dance HAHA!

Yesterday was Tennis at NUS after school! :)
Few hours spent under the sun whacking balls. Heheheh. :D

Went to school this morning for Social Studies. Got back our test results. Anyhow, I dreaded this day as I didn't pin high hopes for this test. When Mdm Yehidaah called my name, I hesitated a little before stepping forward and even said I didn't wanna go collect my paper haha! Seriously, I could feel my heart's trepidation but I was mentally prepared for a F A I L.

Thank goodness things didn't turn out the way I predicted. And guess what?! I got an A!! I've never gotten an A for History in Secondary 3! (I know it's S.S but still it's related to History!) I was greatly taken aback and almost fell at the sight of my score. Mkay. Exaggeration. (; She also wrote a short paragraph for me on the paper but mispelt my name! Vicky instead of Vicki, haha. Whatever it is, I still love her! And I'm glad that I didn't disappoint her this time round. :)

Before that we had breakfast at Macs and there. I know I'm not blogging in chronological order! :D Oooh WHEE I'm earlier than SERENA! (Yes, by a few seconds!) Vicki-the-punctual! Hahahah. Yay me!

This morning was being all patriotic, belting out song after song at the top of our lungs, (who cares about being out-of-key!) to our hearts' content, in one united circle! Haw. We attempted to stick the Flag into our ponytails but Mrs Ong was against it. Reason being it's a sign of disrespect! What!? We're merely putting the country above us!! :D Right..

After that was Footprints. The 10 of us were strolling all the way from Little India to Chinatown! Only when it was like 10.15, we began running and rushing like lunatics, all the way to the Esplanade! (yeh.. that was when we finally felt the slightest tinge of urgency :D) Must have been quite a bizarre and hilarious sight for the passing vehicles, aye? Hahah!

And that was our 3rd and final stop for the day and we were already running late. Lol.

Today,
-I had a cup of milo dinosaur (Requested for more powder to be peppered on top!)
-Went to have lunch at Sumo House (?) The newly opened Japanese fastfood restaurant.
-My milo dinosaur got 'confiscated' and placed into the fridge! UGH.
-And yay! I finally got it back but it was assing confiscated again.
-And then I got it back again BUT it looked so repulsive, I dumped it after a few sips. ;(
-Had our NAPFA. Haha all went pretty well, anyhow! Shall skip the frivolous and unimportant details.
-And then after that omg it was crazily FUN!
-Played street netball and a cross of netball&basketball! (WT, CP, Serena, WQ, Natasha and Brenda)
-Meditated in the middle of the quadrangle, on the gravel ground haha! Uhh I know we're cool. :)
-A-anddd, here comes the exciting part!
-We had a water fight! :D And got ourselves soaked to the skin! Mmk maybe not for me, I got away nearly unscathed, thankfully!! Ahahah! :)

finally, a time for me to get a breather from the shXtload of books, handwritten notes, lecture notes and whatnot!! -stabs-

5 tests this week (in 3 days) and apparently, i've crossed the borders -- of my sleeping time, for 3 consecutive days! seriously, it's time to catch up with my sleep. :)

however, everyday, i'm telling (reassuring, at the same time) myself that next week is gonna be a week when we can all slack, a tad bit more. national day and the Amazing race thing. we'll prolly end up bumming around in Chinatown/Little India/or wherever for a couple of hours or so, numbing our tastebuds with the local delicacies or simply amusing ourselves with the little new "discoveries".

it was pleasantly surprising and yet freakishly sudden at the same time. just when TWT and i mentioned sunny yesterday. he returned from the states on that day itself! welcome back anyhow. we missed you! haha!

so today was Mr. Prata after school with sunny and TWT. heh heh, PRATA GOODNESS. Y did some catching up and had a looonngg chat there.

ahmagawd. i abhor the sight of my fringe! it's a total eye sore and quite a bother at the same time. i'm this close to taking a pair of scissors and snipping it off, by myself! hahahah. shall do something about it during the weekends. then i'll be a happy girl again ;) -grins-

Today was Racial Harmony day!! (Yes, the school's W.O.L.S) The day we girls had been anticipating for!! After all, you don't get to wear a sari every day!

We encountered a lot of difficulty when putting on the sari. Haha only managed to do so with the help of Mdm Renuka! (sp?) Thanks, anyway! :)

And we all had matching "____" on our foreheads! Soz, I forgot what was it called. :/ Bluetooth and infrared UHH.. :D

Our movements throughout the day were so.. restricted! Even going to the toilet became a chore. Ahahah.

Did bio practical in our saris. Quite a goofy sight, don't you think? (:

We shall swop saris next year!

Dinner at Holland V with Siravut. Oh well, it was an impromptu meeting. We were deciding between the various international food eg. Vietnamese, Northern Indian, Mexican, Turkish, Italian. In the end, we picked Thai Express Y Hahaha.

Thereafter, CP, WQ and Bryan joined us!! Ooh my, I absolutely love THAI FOOD!! YY Was introduced to a few Thai local delicacies and the dishes whipped up sure were delectable! I liked the Papaya salad and the fried noodles the best! -grins in satisfaction-

There we had a long chat and lots of laughter (+ silent laughter fits.) Hahahah. Thanks for the treat, dood! :D

Before dance, Geraldine, Mx and I went to Venezia for our weekly dose of ice cream (: AHA. Oooh I absolutely love, love, LOVE the Tartufo flavour!! Y I'm so gonna have that the next time round! Geraldine had her pasta, as usual. And they started exploring my huge, oversized pencil case! (Pens count: 35)

Thursday
So after school, the group of us (WT, CP, EL, DA, NAT/EGG) went to LITTLE INDIA -- With the sole purpose of getting saris for Racial harmony (Tomorrow!!) Hahaha. My.. It's been such a long time. I vividly remembered roaming the streets of L.I, on one of the many excursions during the primary school days!

After scouting hi-and-low, we finally found a decent restuarant which we could dine in!

Here's our lunch! Poori or something. They commented that it looked like boobs. Hahahah.

And CP ordered the huge-ass Poori!

I actually witnessed a molest!! Like right beside me! An indian man walked by and touched the lady's upper body, just like that!? Then he strode off with a look of indifference, even though the lady shrieked an "EH!!" What the H, if I were her, I would probably give him a merciless kick on his groin, causing him to cry in poignant agony and perhaps, in a crude way, make him lose his Father's day or something. Mwahaha :D

Today was a school holiday/study day! Had to wake up terribly early even though I had a late night previously. Cabbed to CP's house and I was amazed that I could give directions, despite the fact that I haven't even stepped foot into her house once! Mmk enough of self-praise. :D

Anyhow, we studied S.S for what seemed like hours. A strong sense of accomplishment overwhelmed me immediately after I scribbled the last word on the stack of notes! Yay me :) -grins-

Left the house for Holland V. The girls were LATE!! Uh huh. With Natasha around, it's no huge surprise :D Just kidding!!

Oooh so to kill time, I decided to stock up for breakfast. CEREAL GOODNESS :D

When they arrived, the 5 of us dined at Sushi Tei. Oh my.. It was the first time I spent under 2 bucks in a restaurant! And not even salmon could tempt me! Reason being:

1. The chicken rice had not been digested from my system.
2. I've decided to be more thrifty when it comes to food!!

Riiightt.. :)

Soo we gossiped/talked for a looong time. And yes we were doodling as well. Ahaha. Shall post up our masterpiece, maybe later! (: They were stuffing sushis, literally, into their mouths while I attempted to study! Barely made any progress though.

In the evening, we went to Gelare's! Eheheh I simply LOVE their crispy, baked waffles! Topped with strawberry cheesecake yoghurt ice cream. A divine combination, indeed! Y

Wasting the hours now, we're all suckers for tragedies. And start this over again, And you bring us to our knees.

This morning was feeling all euphoric and waking up early (like at 930) to soak up in the morning rays of the sun -- it's HEALTHIER that way, the afternoon sun's harmful as it contains harmful UV rays!

Anyhow, Battle of the Bands at ACSi last night. Could barely make out the lyrics though. I liked the electric guitars!! And drums are cool stuff! Yeah like the usual concerts, they were belting out song after song. Well, the entire thing lasted for about 2 hours. Seen a number of people whom I knew there, and coincidentally met Fiona as well, haha.

And before that, met Beatrice and we headed to town. (: Walked around and had a light dinner at some Thai Restaurant in Heeren before meeting up with Nicholas and his friend.

Oh mannn, there are like damn a lot of assignments to be completed by this weekend!! Wanted to get started on the chinese (!!) composition today but I couldn't find the boxed paper (gao zi) or whatever you call it. Most of the homework comprises of MATH. Thanks so much MJT (: Uh huh, for the entertainment provided during your lessons. We had a good laugh at your version of hypotenuse (hypotenus), parell (parallel) and rambus (rhombus). You bet, we were so amnused!

UGHH. Tests are starting to flood in, blimey. Was thinking about the future and I realised I won't and didn't want to be binded and tied down by _________ _____. Mmhm. (:

Thank goodness it's a school holiday on Tuesday! Why can't they make it on a Monday instead. *rolls eyes* Who doesn't want a long weekend?!

Saturday was town and the movies (:
'Pirates of the Caribbean:Dead's Man Chest' was AWESOME!! And some parts were really hilarious! Haha. Oh well, it was beyond words! However, they got their historical background mixed up. :/ Singapore, was not S'pore, but Temasek then. Well, nevermind.

The usual family day (: aha. Went to town to collect my sister's phone and had lunch! Great food! But of course, it was grilled salmon!

Went swimming in the evening! Sadly, the sun was out ): I've decided to go sun tanning this saturday (: Nope, not in Sentosa or where ever, but in the privacy of my pool. :) My tan is slowly fading... it's so sickly and I can't take it. AHH.

MONDAY

Had our Chinese O'Level Listening. Oh mannn. Had to wait bloody long for the damned thing to begin. Hahaha. It was actually aired on 92.4fm, island-wide!

Did I mention that Mdm Hong was FORCING us to take a nap during lesson time?! So that we will feel rejuvenated for the examination! Hahaha. How nice of her!!

ANNND THEN.. I skipped dance practice!! (Mk. I felt bad.) Went to have Mr.Prata with the rest. PRATA GOODNESS!Y

TUESDAY

Today was study session with CP at Sushi Tei. Did half of the revision for S.S. All the Northen Ireland crap. Whatever. Anyway.. was quite a productive study session. Hahaha. Even though we were talking half of the time, d-uhh!

Walked all the way from Holland V to Commonwealth. CP claimed that the distance was gonna be quite short. But hell no, it was so far!! And we had a nasty encounter with that dumb taxi driver. IT WAS A ZEBRA CROSSING, HELLO?! Omggg I seriously wonder how did he even get pass a driving license! Must have been booked several times and I reckon his demerit points are about to hit a negative of some sort!

WEDNESDAY

Before dance, Geraldine and I went to Venezia to have some icecream for lunch (: Raspberry is love Y

Hahaha and after that, we chased chickens!!! Ooh-weee there were like 7 of them! And they kept running away! And they didn't peck at us ahaha. :D

And we almost got lost in tiny island Singapore.

so two days ago, i had my chinese oral, which was pretty sucky. i was all jittery and panicky at the very last minute but managed to converse in 100% chinese. PHEW. although i did stammer a little, i managed to hit the points (: and i did have a very gay topic. unfortunately, i did not have very nice examiners. they were so intimidating!! ): but thankfully, didn't screw up the reading part. :D

anyhow, it's O-V-E-R and done with. :) and i'm so glad for that. -grins-

on thursday, my sister beat me to grab the copy of URBAN. my weekly dose. makes the thursday busrides to school less miserable.

after school, instead of catching Pirates of the Carribean with the girls, went to town! Urban's tip-off: Topshop sales. but sadly, nothing caught my eye. ooh maybe that pair of capri pants. :D i swear i won't go to town with a heavy school bag the next time round. it was weighing me down the entire time. damned.

hellooo sashimis!
so sorry for the lack of updates! have been very caught up with things lately. but i'll still be updating! :D

friday was great! we were released early! at like, 12 noon. coolio! after that, was lunch at Holland v. i love the daily after school lunches! + gossiping/chatting sessions! it's something to look forward to, especially when school consists of mostly mundane and humdrum lessons. blimey. :(

went home to catch up with my SLEEP. surprising, aye? i was really exhausted and couldn't hold out any longer. and then, my supposingly power nap became a few hours long one. hahaha. i succumbed to the temptation of punching the SNOOZE button on my phone repeatedly and finally turning it off when it became too troublesome!!

so we had dance practice for 2 consecutive days, 5 solid hours on thursday, resulting in the pulsing muscle ache and 4 unsightly blue-blacks. what a huge sore eye. thank goodness for muscle relief pills! and all that for? the performance in Sentosa (Fountain of Youth)! which was earlier this evening. :)

all went pretty well i guess. no boohoos and screw ups. ughh except for the fact that i absolutely abhor thick make-up. oh and that we had to rehearse out in the open. i wouldn't care less, if not for the oppressive weather!

our dinner, which i barely ate! well, except for a few bites of the chicken.

i was astonished by the fact that there was a presence of a 3500 strong audience. since i once assumed that the number of people wouldn't even hit a hundred!

i find the pictures rather sucky. my hair was falling all over the place! AHA. and yes, i know the make-up is monstrous! ah well, nevermind.

anyhow, thanks to those who came down to support, and the goodluck wishes!! :D

that reminded me, the dance instructor told us that we would be putting up a modern dance performance for Mid-autumn fest. and we'll be learning the SYF dance steps soon!! looking forward! (:

Watched Superman after that. The man of steel, in spandex costume and red underwear. Haha. if I were to split the pie, it would be 50% romance, 20% saving the civilians, 15% fighting evil and another 15% (Yes it's quite a huge portion) spent flying around in the air (And it sure gets quite dizzy), with the trademark of an arm outstretched.

MONDAY-YOUTH DAY
Study session in the morning at Venezia, along sixth avenue. Hahaha and I was late, as usual. Aha. Typical Vicki. :) I took a cab there and it was only 10 cents. Yoke was afraid to cross the busy road and Beatrice rescued her! Hahaha.

Anyhow, the study session *contemptuous laugh* pretty much sucked. Nothing came out of it. Well at least I managed to read a page of the chinese book (: And did 2 math sums! Yay me..

We attempted to converse in CHINESE, and strictly only chinese! Managed to speak less than 20 sentences of chinese that day. (:

Lesson learnt: Study groups can't be too large. (Yeah.. as if I didn't know.)

Had lunch at this noodle restaurant at Holland V and proceeded to Coffee Club for some iced chocolates! :)

1. A shortcut to death.
My turn would arrive, I'd greet the intimidating examiner, (which seemed to grow 10 times his/her size) a nervous smile would flit across my face, then take a seat and after that, part my lips but no words will come out.

or 2. A miracle.
I would speak fluently and eloquently, able to bring out the intonations and in perfect Chinese, like I've spoken it all my life.

today was such an 'informative' day. in fact, it was an information overload hahaha.

i'd rather spend my time, browsing the webpages of juicy gossips, those of hollywood celebs! what with them scrutinizing the celebs from head to toe, prying into their private lives, (even touching on trivial matters such as mosquito bites or even uh, unshaved/waxed armpits), to questioning their threads and tasteless fashion sense, to exposing their faux pas and solecisms, to commenting about their eating habits/disorders (from protruding rib cages, flat chests or saggy butts to flabby arms, thighs, tummies, lovehandles, sparetyres, etc.), to confirming their face-lifts/rhinoplasty/implants/tummy tucks and all that comestic surgery with before-and-afters, and even suspecting their sexual orientation!

today was like back to school day! :D
since school was rather mundane & the usual humdrums (except less dry. duh, it's the 1st day!) let's zoom into after school! so we (WT, serena, CP, KH) had Pizza Hut's for lunch! ahaha. it was stupidly retarded. CP and I placed orders and left school for dance meeting. which lasted for a bloody half an hour. by the time we returned, the food was already quite cold and lacked the instant-and-fresh-from-the-oven taste, but still, the BBQed wings were tasty!! :D anyhow, i knew that it was gonna be a wrong move.

stayed in Pizza Hut for a few hours just talking away!! cheer up girls (: haha. seems like only CP and I are the most/more carefree ones when it comes to these kinda problems! :)

no worries, for 'happi pizza' to the rescue!! haha. mkay.. i sounded SO wrong.

and if you have the ability to see, a new layout's up! (:

can't wait for the weekends! gonna have din tai fung's xiao long baos! (seriously, nothing beats their XLBs!!) and maybe a ride on the hot air balloon!

caught Just my Luck. to me, the plot is quite a first. i liked the twist. (: there's humour as well but She's The Man still beats it all the way in terms of.. everything? haha.

it's about Ashley (Lindsay Lohan) who was blissfully blessed with a streak of luck 24/7, UNTIL she met and kissed Jake (Chris Pine) at a masquerade party. uh yeah apparently, he was her jinx and dramatically transformed her life.

well, i'll give it a 3.5/5.

can't wait for Pirates of the Carribean (July) and the Devil Wears Prada (August)!!

Friday - The Mad Rush

after witnessing the long, neverending snake-like queue outside Mango, my sister and i decided that it'd be wise to go earlier the next day.

there were some delays so we reached at around 12 plus. spent a good, solid 1 hr + in Mango itself. and omg it was soo dishevelled and cluttered -- the usual sight during sales. clothes strewned every where, all over the floor boards and the huge boutique was literally turned upside down!! and it was so bloody difficult to find sizes and the dressing room spaces were reduced by HALF. shoppers even resorted to changing infront of mirrors. and the number of shoppers increased as minutes ticked by. office workers sacrificing their empty stomaches, hurriedly and impatiently shoving their way through, racing against time. you could barely breathe in there! (oh yes, including the salty, pungent smell of sweat in the air which hits you like a pong, ew.) what a torment!

Sales horror.

TIPS:

never leave your soon-to-be purchases aside, it will disappear in an eye's wink.
do not bring big shopping bags.bring a small handbag or a clutch, whatever, UNLESS you wanna be embarrassed by carrying a huge, fugly and attention-grabbing white plastic bag everywhere. (they would make you dump your bag in)

sadly for my sis, she learnt it the hard way.

okay anyway, went for dance today. hahaha. and i was late AGAIN. typical vicki. while waiting for the bus, geral and ale called up and encouraged me not to go. what good friends, ya? hahaha just kidding! so they came and we went to have Venezia. and i had coconut sorbet this time round. didn't even get to stay there for long. we bought whatever we wanted and left in a cab, back to school. how fickle-minded, aye? we felt kinda bad so yeah. jin xian even sent out an email to remind us that there was dance!?

talk about email. i checked my inbox today and it had a whooping 534 unread messages. shall have to do some spring-cleaning soon.

we have a new dance instructor! well she's nice and all.
and currently we're practising for the performance in Sentosa next July.

headed to Holland V with CP after dance. as one of them organised a study/homework session. hahaha. since we were early, we decided to grab a bite! first, we went to Sushi Tei. guess what i had?
SALMON!! hahaha. and some seaweed too.

and then our next stop was Crystal Jade.
well, for some xiao long baos, of course! hahaha they make me happy
today's gotta be 'food day' man.

stayed in BK with them (CP, MY, JR) for awhile. whoa. i'm so lazy. resorted to using abbrieviations.didn't manage to do anything constructive there. aha. only lent Jr my chem TYS and taught him some math sums.

left to meet my sister. she wanted to cut her hair. there was a rather long queue so we walked into the novelty shops there to kill time. no matter how many times i've visited them, they never fail to bore me.

mkay. back to my darling Physics TYS now. that's the ONLY homework i have left for the entire hols'! bahh. i'm soo close yet so far from being unchained from this huge burden the assignments had given me.

my mum just forced me to gulp an entire cup of juice down, which tasted damned horrible.

17th, Saturday

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SERENA TAN!

CP, WT and I went to surprise serena with a mini birthday cake at her front door! we arrived an hour earlier than the expected time, which was at 12. haha. we sang her a birthday song and made her make a wish after she blew the candles out :D

the group of us headed for Sentosa thereafter. took a cable car to the beach. and we were supposed to race with the 4 other people. so it was 'Bus vs Cable car'. lol and the four of us stupidly boarded the wrong side, so we ended up at Mt faber. hahaha. i think we're far worse than the tourists there! thankfully the guy was kind enough to let us take the right one all the way back to Sentosa. (:

and obviously, we lost the race.

the sun came out from it's hiding and was shining ever so brightly! got some ice cream and headed to Siloso beach. walked to the place where i usually tan. haha. the little island seperated by a bridge. (:

swam in the disgustingly green and algae, dirt and litter-filled seawater. then Kl, Wx and Adam came over. haha. and we had a SAND FIGHT! haha it was so fun and we all had sand in our hair.

oh and then we went suntanning! thanks for the mat! :D i brought my own sunblock there but when i realised that the SPF-value was 50, boy was i astonished. hahaha. so i borrowed theirs, which was a nice 15. (:

time flew at the speed of light and it was already 4 plus! so we went to have lunch/dinner, Sakae Sushi after we washed up. guess what i had??

SALMON, duhh.

sadly, they didn't have xiaolongbaos there. :(

then proceeded to take the green line and we went 2 rounds. lol. just liked the feeling of the wind blowing against our faces as it wasn't an enclosed air-conditioned bus.

then CP came up with this idea to let us sample this funny dish. she says it's called 'gong gong'. and our very first reactions was 'wth is that?!' and we started laughing at its ridiculous name. i ~~swear~~ pledge it looked like SNAILS!!!! eeew. and i had a hard time getting it out of its shell(?). it was chewy. and i think i saw its EYES. ughh sick, sick, sick. then we were convinced that it was a snail. however, CP had violent objections with regards to our statement. lol!

went to serena's house and had a nice shower. (: and we all brought sand home from Sentosa.

watched 'Aquamarine'. haha. another chick-flick but it was really sweet. (:

had supper. seafood!! and we were introduced to a new, weird dish called _____. i don't even know the spelling for it. ahaha. but it looked kinda gross. i liked the stingray the best! the bbqed wings were good as well.

watched 'Inside Man'. haha. but before the show ended i had already fell into a deep slumber. lol.

gonna catch 'Just My Luck' tomorrow. who cares if it's freaking Lindsay Lohan. lol :D

a perfect summer blockbuster, especially for those who love the runway.

it's a novel i heard that a movie is coming up. lol have yet to read the book though. & i hope the movie appears in the big screens really soon!! :D (starring: Anne Hathaway)

went to town this afternoon with my sissy. :D lool. did a lot of walking. as usual. hahah. and my mum just told me not to wear heels that often because apparently it's bad for the back. but i won't heed her advice, of course. surprisingly, my feet didn't hurt after so much walking!

maybe it's because we stopped for a break at Gelare's for some waffle icecream. (:
sinfully good stuff. strawberry cheesecake as the flavour of the icecream. almost as good as Haagen daz's.

last night's RI rock concert (ANIMA E CORPO) was fantabulous!! a few days ago, beatrice asked me if i wanted to attend a concert on friday and i agreed, when i was totally clueless about it. hahaha. yeah i was that ignorant.

anyhow, friday came and i took a train all the way to bishan!! i almost got lost. luckily for this lady i met on the platform, she guided me all the way to bishan. in between the changing trains interval too. and after the whole thing, i realised that there was a shorter route and i even had a direct bus from my house. what the H?!?!

haha. the concert started at 6 and lasted about 3 hours. the bands which performed were formed among the students in the school itself. there were a couple of performances. i especially liked the last one and the individual performance! yup, as cliched as this sounds, always save the best for the last.

i liked the 3rd band partly because it played my all-time favourite song! (since last year) Run by Snowpatrol. when they announced that they were gonna play a song by Snowpatrol, i was secretly hoping that it would be Run. and oh.my.gosh. can you imagine how exhilarated i was?! AHH.

the CSS guy? his singing is not bad. (Triad)

and i can't believe we actually yelled 'WE LOVE YOU NICHOLAS' at the top of our lungs. and the guys were like "WHOOAAA"! my goodness. that was how embarrassing! and the few of us immediately buried our faces in our knees. my face must have been beetroot red at that point of time. thinking of it, i should have feigned a look of indifference so the audience wouldn't know it was me. hahahaha. kwhatever.

GotNicLess. (got nicholas) hahaha. quite an innovative name for a band, aye?

Kaiyang's performance had a slight glitch but he handled it really well, like a professional. he added an acoustic flavour to the entire concert. the songs he sang and strummed on the guitar were so, so good. -melts-

and oh, the concert changed our perception of the nerdy/geeky/studious impression that RI guys once gave us. heh. and we met so many henry parkers there!! so nostalgically familiar..

after that, instead of having dinner with beatrice's friend, nicholas and the rest, we took a bus back home. had a long talk about everything (: just like the good ol' old times..

beatrice and i was saying that it'd be so sweet and wonderful if a guy were to sing and play a song for us when it's only us both in the lecture theatre. awwww.. but he must have a good voice! haha. nevertheless, the effort makes it sweet already lah (:

MONDAY

'SHE'S THE MAN' was such an awesome, funny and sweet show! all intermingled in one. (: it made the entire audience break out in peals of laughter every now and then. and i mean it! almost every minute of the movie cracked us up. hahaha it was that hilarious. :D some parts were really stupidly funny but still, it's FUNNY. (: it's highly recommended if you need to have some laughter. and oh my, some parts were so sweet. awww (:

anyway, I BAKED COOKIES in the morning!!! hahaha. even though ahemmm* i had some help (: it turned out to be quite tasty! at least, it's edible. (: and that no one suffered from food poisoning or some sort after consuming them. IT'S TRUE! my mum once had tummy upset after trying the jelly i made for her. sigh. :( and my sister keeps harping about it, saying that i did it intentionally?! lol.

went out in the afternoon. had Han's for lunch. love the grilled salmon fillet they have there. haha. get that. i love SALMON! (:

and i finally found "To Kill a Mockingbird"! another page-turner and fabulously riveting read. seriously, no i'm not a geek (: hahaha. reading doesn't equal geeky/nerdy. anyhow, it's one of those books that one must read, at least in his/her lifetime. what's more, you need to read it in order to enter Harvard's. (or was it Oxford/Princeton? heck, i forgot.) haha however this doesn't imply that i want to further my studies there ya.

went swimming. swimming is so therapeutic, almost comparable to retail therapy (: just allowing the free-flowing, billowing waves wash your troubles away.

so reached 6th avenue at around 3 plus.
changed into oversized tees and went swimming!!
and ate doritos(which was partially soaked in chlorine-water). tempted Whisky. KILLED ants with water. (:0 (I HATE ANTS.)
balanced on the floaty thing for 77+++ seconds! WITHOUT HOLDING ON TO THE WALL!!!!!
played with the orange-blue hotwheels ball. (volleyball in water)

hello! so sorry for the lack of updates! shizz. the holiday mood is getting so into me. i'm either TOO lazy to update or too lazy to put on my thinking cap and wait for inspiration to hit me, for a new layout. -pouts- (so bimbotic, haha)

SATURDAY
we walked the entire (almost) of town for 6 hours. sigh, poor feet. and damned, i could not find a pair of heels that appealed to my liking. i was deciding between 3 different peep toe shoes from 3 different shops but in the end, i refused all 3! my goodness. i realised i could be so fickle-minded. my sister had been eyeing on this pair of shorts from Zara but it ran out of sizes. oh man.

at least i purchased a clutch :D i think we spent more cash on food itself that day. but after all, eating is a joy! good food, that is.

oh and shut your gap sis, i did not say 'bur' instead of 'duh'. hahahah.

YESTERDAY
caught X-MEN 3. hahaha. it was one of the best movies i've ever watched. and we had the front row. poor necks. haha. seriously, i'd rather sit on the carpet. :D nevertheless, the movie compensated for it. (:

to those who have not caught the movie, there's a continued 10 minutes after the credits for the ending of X-MEN 3!!!

and if you've watched it, you would probably be wondering why so many people were still comfortably seated. (:

school in the morning. hahaha. class was supposed to start at 11 but i was still home at 1050. so i quickly rushed and took a cab down for fear of being scolded. (yeah right) but turned out, i was early and we even had to wait for another half an hour for Ms Janet Tan.

it's the last day of the semester!! everybody go yay!! but sadly, we have extra lessons in the 'holidays' too.

received my report card yesterday. oh.my.god. and sure, i was greatly taken aback. but i'll treat it as a wake-up call, what an appalling and alarming one indeed. i guess i really lacked the 'drive', which was actually very, very crucial then.

too late for realisations/regrets huh.

oh unfortunately, we had to take a math quiz today. it was alright though, i guess? :D

went to town with michelle and elena after school today. did the usual stuff except no NYDC today ): hahaha. they called Balu (haha?) up. one of the _______ in my contacts. learnt a new way of saying hello. (: (alo) hahaha it sure was funny! eww. n-g--rs.

guess what?! haha. i'm greatly embarrassed by my speed of reading!! the Da Vinci Code should be one of the fastest books to reach completion, however, i'm taking a much longer time than expected. and it's partly because i have been rather caught up these days. lol. it's such an awesome book, makes me wish for an invention of a ticket to rush to the end!

today was such a long day! this morning, i went to school to help with the painting of classroom. and yes, i was LATE, as usual.. haha. it was hard work indeed. we've been painting the classroom for 3 days consecutively. it's my first time (so??) painting walls!! so fun, but it sure was toilsome at the same time! the theme of the classroom's RETRO by the way. heheh, funkaye polka dots. but ahem some ppl had to _________. ah, nevermind(:

headed to Suntec city after. and after much walking, we finally decided to fill our empty stomachs at Crystal Jade. haha. it was stupidly funny as we went to both the dimsum and main restaurant of Crystal Jade, in just less than an hour's time. but it's alright, at least i had XIAO LONG BAOS!! :D hahaha. yummy stuff!

hahaha. and we began discussing about the cartoons we used to watch years ago. thinking back at what we shared, it seemed so immature of us. but after all, we're young at heart! hahaha. our topic ranged from, the Power Rangers to Flintstones (Fred flintstone's hairstyle!!) and even the Teletubbies!! talk about Teletubbies. i said something which made everyone break out in peals of laughter! wan ting seemed pretty normal though. hahahah. uhmm it's just something about PO and suffocation. :) (omg? i just came to a realisation that serena and i are blogging about the exact same thing NOW. i just felt like adding this in, haha)

i feel so ughadasdasdfga now. maybe it's just the blues kicking in. haha. we've gotten back most of our papers. and no, i'm not a tad bit satisfied. the better subjects were my languages, bio and math, although both A & E math were filled with careless mistakes EVERYWHERE. there was 'Careless!' scrawled frighteningly, boldly in red SIGH. i realised that it's a bad thing to feel overconfident now. have not received chemistry yet but my physics is a goner. and thank goodness i did not fail history :D although it wasn't well done either. hahaha. damned source-based. i hate it. screwww.

dance prac today. had a splitting headache so i could rest at the side haha. geraldine and i left earlier. then we headed to macs for a quick bite. hahaha and guess what we did?

oh yah, MDM ANG made those who didn't bring their textbooks/article/through train or wdv thing it's called to COPY the entire damned text on a fresh sheet of paper. and i was one of those unfortunate souls who didn't bring all 3!!!! it's so retardedly retarded. a grand total of over a thousand words!? however, i photocopied the one on the 'through train'. hahah i hope i don't get found out! :D -crosses fingers-

yesterday
went to Holland V after school with wan ting. haha. walked around and went into those small lil' shops. we even went into the pet shop! there was this dog which was so CUTE!! :o) haha. Whisky is the best though (: we tried many different kinds of perfume until it affected my sense of smell. uhhhh. and i love the nachos at 7-11! tastes exactly like those at the movies. hahaha. why doesn't most other 7-11 branches have nachos? depressing ):

went for a swim after. swam laps. ooh, endorphins!

UHMM so let's start with Poseidon. everything about it was f a n t a s t i c, i ~~swear~~ pledge. i know, alex would tell me not to swear, so i shall pledge instead. :D haha went to the new Cathay cineplex to catch Poseidon and i pledge it's the best place to watch flicks!! super new, super nice, super cool! it even has a BEN&JERRY'S CAFE! good place to pig out, and new shops are gonna open soon! plus, i've finally come to a conclusion on which theatre serves the BEST POPCORN in town! the answer is obvious, isn't it?

towned with MICHELLE!! haha it was an impromptu decision to go out in the afternoon. did some shopping! walked from Fareast all the way to Heeren. haha. stopping at places in between of course. did our usual stuff, shopped, flea markets (met dawn yang/yeo there. surprisingly, not many people were at her stall. oh well, not for me to comment! (:), camwhored, clothes-trying, VENEZIA! (i had coconut ice cream this time, and it was SO tasty!), Auntie Anne's cinnamon pretzel sticks -grin-, and yeah GIRLS STUFF! hehe. wait for the "REAL" SHOPPING in June! i haven't mention that our feet were aching like crap because of the heels. gah. ohh i met regina!! i was like 'REGINAA!!!' when i saw her! haha haven't met her for so long and she was saying that she wanted to call me up a few days back but didn't. sigh, the world is so small. haha cliche, but whatever.

headed to Clarke Quay for dinner. it underwent a major face-lift. and we watched a performance (STORM) so damned cool! heheh brought Whisky out as well and passers-by were all looking at him! i bet he was enjoying the limelight! hahaha. oh and the aching of my feet worsened so i switched shoes with my sister! how smart, yes? LAWL. (roys' way)!

sighh, i remember those days where we would all go to Clarke Quay to watch street performances every now and then! (alex authur anton samuel regina john eva and etc) nostalgic, nostalgic..pshh.

today (Mother's day)
my sister and i went on with our plan, and that was to bring my mum for a pedicure session! hahaha. she was dumbfounded when she realised what we had for her! it was a pleasant sneaky surprise and she was grinning from ear to ear! haha and when this lady commented that her children were so sweet. **AHEM. she was even happier and went on with her grandmama story, saying that we must be feeling very reluctant to spend our money. hahaha uhh, so NOT please!!

just went swimming :D haha i feel gooood!
but not until results start hitting me right in the face tomorrow. AHH.
bought the june issue of ELLE and CLEO. and it reminded me that it's SUMMER!!! time for some fun under the Sun, sandy bodies, hats, shades and saltwater sooon! :D

hahaha. im so HIGH right now! no more exams tomorrow & it's a public holiday (feed-shXt day, quoted by Ms Tan Wan Ting. vesak = wei sai (in chinese)! aha!
just reached home not long ago. had a nice warm bathe. ah, the simple pleasures that LIFE beholds!! (:

right, so we had BIO today, it was rather easy! i don't dare to comment too much in case ________. thank goodness! i mean, like seriously -grins- heheh. it was quite unexpected! but i have a gut feeling that the most number of marks lost would be from the MCQ. can you actually believe it? it's supposedly the easiest section and yet.. and i highly suspect that i missed out a question. no, i mean it's confirmed. 1 mark down the rubbish chute, just like that SIGH.

the bio students finished their paper a solid hour earlier than the POA students. so in order to kill time, CP and i were sooo restless and bored, so i raised a rather random question, "What do you think their reactions would be after leaving the hall"? oh btw, the entire hall was only filled with 14 ppl and a few invigilators. how empty! anyway, she began to foresee the future and in the end, 77% (i'm biased towards that number, so what?!) was accurate!!

left for town thereafter. haha. caught MISSION IMPOSSIBLE 3 (digital)! it was SO awesome!! a wonderful concoction, blended with action, thrill, suspense, romance, humour, and even slips of sadness in certain parts. (: since it was digital, the effects and sound quality was supposed to be better. and my, it certainly was! so deafening, jarring, sudden and shocking. haha. oh and Maggie Q was so hot in the movie! haha. Tom Cruise is ageing (but still hot) and they spotted a pimple on his face? and i went, "Why can't he have pimples?" after all, he's still human :D hahah.

we were doing some weird exercise feats thingy they learnt in netball while watching TV. hahaha. uhmm, some exercise that trains the abs, calve muscles and arms?

anyway, had dinner at Pastamania. YUM i love Vongole (with white wine) i'll never get sick of it!
headed for home after that. hahaha. and i actually missed the busstop i was supposed to alight at? i.was.LOST.in.tiny.island.Singapore. and it was so freaky!! all alone in the deserted and dead street. then i whipped out my phone, called my mum and she brought me home. for this, i'm grateful :D

that reminds me, it's Mother's day this Sunday. my sister and i have something planned for her already.... shushh. it's a secret! (:
oh yeah, that also reminds me that i have yet to ask my mum to sign me up for the dance lessons! SO EGG-CITING!
i need to have a haircut!! since TWT commented that whenever i cut my hair, it would be of little difference, i shall prove her wrong this time! maybe i'll just chop my hair off.
i am tempted to make a layout now. haha. my sister says that she would accept any layout i reject.

oh well i can't exactly say that the papers were alright today. unlike the majority, i felt that e math paper 2 was a teensy weeny bit simpler than paper 1. haha. i doubt i will do very well for chem. there was a time constraint as usual and i was practically rushing through, thus the careless mistakes. hahaha my handwriting morphed from neat to illegible snake-like writing. i hope the marker can intepret the words. ah well.
